What does the lockdown cancellation guarantee cover?

The booking price includes the special Lockdown Cancellation Guarantee which protects the customer and his travel companions in the event that he is forced to cancel his stay in the 30 days prior to the scheduled check-in date due to the occurrence of at least one of the following measures to contain the Covid-19 epidemic officially imposed by the competent governments/authorities:
• National Lockdown Italy: provision officially imposed by the Italian Government, which establishes the closure of national borders; this measure, by limiting the free movement of people, decrees the objective impossibility for the foreign customer to travel to/from Italy;
• National Lockdown of the customer's country of residence: measure officially imposed by the Government of the country of residence of the customer who holds the booking and/or of residence of one of the other participants in the trip, this measure establishes the closure of national borders and the free movement of people decreeing the objective impossibility for the foreign customer to travel to/from Italy. To make this coverage effective, the personal data of all customers must be correctly entered, at the time of booking, in the appropriate participant data form. If this case occurs, the customer must send a specific certificate certifying actual residence in the country affected by this restrictive measure;
• Local Lockdown Italy in the Municipality or in the area in which the booked villa is located: provision officially imposed by the Italian Government or other competent authorities, which sanctions the closure of the municipal territory or of a specific and delimited area in which the villa is located villa booked, limiting its free movement and therefore decreeing the objective impossibility for the customer to reach it for his stay;
• Local Lockdown Italy in the Municipality or area of residence of the customer: provision officially imposed by the Italian Government or other competent authorities, which sanctions the closure of the municipal territory or of a specific and delimited area in which the customer who owns the booking and/or one of the other participants in the trip, limiting their free movement and therefore decreeing the objective impossibility for the customer/s to leave their area of residence to reach the villa booked for their stay. To make this coverage effective, the personal data of all customers must be correctly entered, at the time of booking, in the appropriate participant data form. For the purposes of reimbursement, if this case occurs, the customer must send a specific certificate certifying actual residence in the location affected by this restrictive measure.
All types of measures not listed above are excluded from this coverage, including by way of example only:
mandatory quarantine of the customer upon his arrival in Italy and/or upon his return, even if imposed by the competent authorities;
red zones and restrictions in the area where the airport and/or station of arrival and/or departure is located;
closure of the airport and/or station of arrival and/or departure;
cancellation/delays/postponement of booked flights;
cancellation of events and/or any activities that are the reason for the holiday;
fear on the part of the customer to travel / personal reasons;
causes not related to the Covid-19 health emergency;
unofficial restrictions and containment measures not issued by competent authorities.
With this guarantee, the customer who cancels due to one of the four restrictive measures covered is entitled to receive a refund of the amount already paid (excluding APULIARENTALS booking costs which are never refundable). The refund will be made by Apuliarentals within 60 days following the scheduled check-in date.
